Double Pushchair is the Way to Go

Pushchairs are necessary items if you want comfort for your baby or babies as the case may be, which in turn will determine how well you enjoy the trip with your buddle of joy in tow into the shopping mall or any where else. This is why before getting this baby buggy there is need for you to make certain considerations in order to buy one that will meet your need. In this write up, I will be looking at specifically two different pushchairs and they are: the double pushchair and tandem pushchair.

Now the first consideration you will begin with before getting a pushchair is what type should I get? Of course, there are different types, which also come in various styles. In considering whether to get a double pushchair or any other, you need to start by asking yourself if you are going to have a baby soon after the initial one with age difference between your babies being anything from 12 months to say 13 months or if they will be twins. Thinking ahead about this can save you the money of buying an additional pushchair when what you need is just one entirely different pushchair.

Having decided on the particular pushchair that will fulfill your need, the next thing for you to do will be to compare prices. In doing this, there is need for you to select your baby's pram based on durability and functionality as against just selecting one due to price alone. Each type of pushchair has its unique features, which should form the basis for your selection.

A double pushchair for instance is a carriage that is made with both kids sitting side by side each other. It is suitable for children that are of the same age or about the same age, although the main issue here is if both kids get along well. In buying this type of pushchair, you should also take note that they are much heavier than single pushchairs. This type often allows both babies to lay flat.

Okay, what about tandem type pushchairs? Well, the tandem pushchair is similar to the double type pushchair in that it can take two babies; the major difference between the two is the fact that the tandem has the seats of the pushchair arranged one in front of the other instead of beside as is the case with the double type.

They are best suited for babies that are not of the same age or who do not get along well. This type of pram at best usually allows one baby to lay flat while the other sits up as the older child can often sit up while the younger lays flat.

A similar disadvantage that both types of pushchairs have is that they are heavy. The tandem pushchair for one is not easy to carry on stairs without the assistance of another because of its weight. Another disadvantage which the tandem has is that it usually needs to be folded to get down a bus gangway.

Finally, one important consideration which you must make before getting a pushchair; whether it is a double pushchair or a tandem is if this will fit properly into your car or any other automobile you will be using when going out with your babies.
