Why You May Need a Tandem Pushchair
Babies, toddlers, infants, babes or by any other name they are called are a source of joy to parents, but they can equally be the fount of trouble when we take them with us from one point to the other using a pushchair. One way to prevent a likely problem, which may occur, is using the appropriate buggy. So which will it be a tandem pushchair, the twin buggy or another?
Now a possible problem which often occurs is when parents make use of double pushchairs for their little ones who do not get along well when a tandem type pushchair would have been the appropriate one to use.
You see a tandem pushchair is a baby carrier which has seats arranged one behind the other. In this way your toddlers who do not get along well with each other will be prevented from having contact and this will definitely reduce the tendency of trouble coming from either quarter making this type of pushchair more suitable for this particular kind of situation.
However, if your toddlers or twin kids get along well, then you can get a double pushchair for them. Double pushchairs are baby twin buggies or carriers that are made with the two seats placed side by side each other. They are good for children who enjoy the company of each other.
One good benefit that double pushchairs usually come with is that they allow your toddlers to both lay flat, which is not often the case with the tandem type pushchair. A down side, however, with them is that this makes them sometimes too big to maneuver in shops and other narrow routes.
However, if you have settled for a tandem pushchair because this fits well into your own situation then you should ask yourself the following questions before buying one. They include: Are the materials used to make the pushchair durable? Are the seats comfortable for your babies? Can this tandem fit well into your car trunk or boot?
Other questions that you should also provide answers for are: Is there enough space in your home to accommodate this tandem? And finally is the frame of this pushchair strong or sturdy enough to accommodate your kids?
Lastly, a tandem pushchair is most suitable if you are using it for a toddler and a new born baby. This is because one of the seats of the tandem can be reclined to allow a newborn who needs to lie flat for the first three months while the other seat, which is made more upright, is better suited for a toddler.
